The Winters family has been in the waste hauling and recycling business for three generations, having built and sold multiple companies in New York and New England. The family’s latest enterprise, Winters Bros. Waste Systems CT LLC, has locations in Danbury and Shelton, Connecticut. The Shelton location houses the family’s new Green Machine® single-stream and dry waste processing system.
“Our family has worked with Green Machine® on multiple equipment projects at our Long Island, NY plant prior to selling to IESI. They build the heavy-duty equipment our marketplace demands,” said Sean Winters, Vice President of WinterBros. Waste Systems CT.
“Green Machine’s® installation crews worked through Superstorm Sandy and the NemoBlizzard, ensuring a timely system startup, meeting our processing contract demands,” says Bill Brennan, Vice President of Transfer and Recycling forWinter Bros. Waste Systems CT. “They provided a continuous maintenance presence on site while we learn how to operate the system and work out all the bugs. Green Machine® has exceeded even our expectations, which gives us tremendous capacity to grow our Western Connecticut recycling business.”
Even with numerous road blocks in the way, both Green Machine® and Winters Brothers worked together in order to solve problems, keeping open communication at the top of everyone’s priority.
